Movie ident/distributor
For this part of our research I first watched the opening sequences of lots of action/thriller movies like Taken and Point Break. To show this I created a tally to clearly show which companies ident's were used and how many times. This gave us a clear indication of our data to help decide who we will use overall.
To further this I researched two companies (Film 4 and 20th Century Fox) to decipher which company would be better to use overall. This helped me a lot with which company is better suited to us and why.
Our decision
Overall we decided to use Film 4 as our distributor. We chose this company mainly due to the fact that it is a British company making British films, this will mean we can maximise our British audience and target them specifically. Furthermore, Film 4 makes many of the films that us, as a group, love which insures the idea that our opening sequence would be distributed well and to the right audience.
